It's lame, in fact; anyone who can't see the "punch line" coming a mile away is a dolt. He's not poking fun at himself when he says he's not a math man, but a miracle man. He's actually lampooning his supposedly deeply held religious beliefs, turning them into punch lines just for the sake of getting a few laughs. It’s not very funny.
