You misunderstood what I said. Having lunch with those who are over-weight always brings up the endless discussion of diets, and everything that entails. I just can’t spend an hour and half talking about food, diets, and their weight problems.

We all have had different experiences, mine are not the same as yours.

Actually this whole thread has become tiresome and dull.

I’d think refraining from having lunch with someone is worse than a comment that you can wear something she can’t. (In my experience it’s rare that a person of any size spends a lunch hour talking about her weight.) And yes, I think overweight people deal with more than we do–stares, comments behind their backs, people refusing to hire them, etc.

We have two different experiences, that is obvious.

The point I was making is this, no one envy’s an over-weight person, I don’t know even one person who would like to be fat. But I do know a number of either obese, or over-weight people who make nasty remarks that are uncalled for.

One of the reasons I refrain from having lunch with women who are over-weight….they spend a lot of time talking about their weight, and it’s BORING. It’s not too different from women who constantly complain about other women who wear heels, dress smart, or enjoy manicures, and make-up, often times making snide remarks, its just jealousy.
