  1. The media in this country, along with the neocons, hate Putin. It’s probably best not to ask why. But as far as I’m concerned, if both the media and the neocons hate someone, they’re probably doing something right. And the Russian people love Putin. He won in a landslide. I imagine they know a lot better than we do what’s good for them.

The Russians also loved Stalin . . .

  3. Sure they did. Who wouldn’t love a cruel dictator who killed some 20 million of their fellow countrymen?

Sure, Russians loved Stalin. According to the same media in this country that hates Putin, they did. That’s because the American media loved (and loves) Stalin. So they portray him as a popular man of the people, instead of the genocidal thug he was.

I’d love to chat, Michelle, but I gotta get back to planet Earth now.

    NIGHT TRAIN

You are like that character in Harry Potter that had a face on both the front and the back of his head. Now which poster, #1 or #3, is he real you?

Never mind the rest of your post, how does this make any sense? The neocons and the media hate Osama bin Laden, too. How do you feel about that guy?

  6. #4-Bob, if you have a question that doesn’t require me to have ESP to answer, let me know.

#5-Yorick, I know very little about OBL, just like you. I certainly don’t believe everything I hear on FOX and CNN about him, unlike many. Such as “he hates us for our freedoms”, which is total bunk. He, and they, hate us for our meddling in Middle Eastern affairs that have nothing to do with us. I’m certainly no fan of his, but I also don’t think he’s Satan incarnate, either.

How do you think Iraqis who’ve had loved ones killed by American troops feel about George Bush?

  7. #4-Bob, if you have a question that doesn’t require me to have ESP to answer, let me know.

Correction. Make that “require me to have ESP to interpret, let me know.

    Night Train [6]

Come on. Are you really going to give Osama bin Laden, the “mastermind” behind 9/11, the benefit of the doubt? Are you really thinking to yourself, “OBL ain’t that bad, he’s just misunderstood”? If so, I really have no idea where to start.

    Night Train [6]

Such as “he hates us for our freedoms”, which is total bunk.

By the way, I agree with you here. It’s just rhetoric. But that doesn’t mean that there aren’t plenty of legitimate reasons he could be considered something close to “Satan incarnate”.

  10. By the way, I agree with you here. It’s just rhetoric.

No, it’s not “just rhetoric”. It’s flat out lies from our government and our media. Even Guiliani, in the first debate, claimed with a straight face that he’d never heard of the idea that they attacked us because we meddle in the ME. He was lying. Bush is lying. FOX is lying. Sean, Rush, and Savage are lying. It isn’t “just rhetoric” at all. It’s a bunch of damnable lies.

  11. again, i don’t get it…
