   1) The Olympic Committee is corrupt.
   2) Tank beats rock every time
   3) The Olympics ceased to matter after the Cold War ended.
   4) Why is no one calling on the violent protesters to stop the violence?

   To ad to what Dearth Truk has said - the Olympics have degenerated into a massive profit making machine fraught with cheating and scandals. And it’s a real shame for the honest athletes out there.

   Everyone should skip the Olympics. I wish the US would pull out, Steven Spielberg made a good decision, the rest should follow-

   I’ve seen several variations on this theme already.

   Funny, other than Russia, the Winter Olymipcs venues all seem to be pretty high as to the freedom and civilization factors.

   A lot of the warm weather places where the Summer Olympics could be staged are sort of nasty on those counts.

   Russia never hosted the Winter Olympics, but will in 2014.

   Nazi Germany held the winter games in 1936 and Tito’s Yugoslavia (Sarejevo) in 1984.
