Today’s quote is from Robert Frost

  2. “A liberal is a man too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel.” - Robert Frost

If it were only true (sigh). . . .

Good Morning Samuel, I read your comments on the Plural Marriage thread. I was stationed for six months in Idaho Falls, Idaho. It was quite a challenge for me spiritually because I was a very young believer. Take care and have a Blessed Day.

  4. Can anyone help me with the source of Obama’s alledged remark about not wanting his daughters to be “punished” with a baby if they became accidentally pregnant?

    Thanks!

  5. VS:
From The Washington Times, Weekly edition, April 7, 2008.
“His ‘punished witha baby’ comment March 29 at a town hall in Fohnstown, Pa. reignited the ourfrge. …
“I’ve got two daughters -9 years old and 6 years old,” Mr Obama said, “I am going to teach them first all about values and morals, but if they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby (…) So it doesn’t make senst to not give them information”
The story covers about 3/4 of a page.

  6. Johnstown, Pa. And I reviewed it. :-(

  7. A while back I complained about a young co worker.I thought I would give you an update. She was evicted from her apartment. She went to several local churches who were unable to help her and to Ecumenical Ministries and some other agency. None were able to do anything. One of the other women I work with was going to let her stay with her until the end of the month so that she could save up the money to get into another apartment. Someone alerted DHR about what was going on. They called her and told her she must turn the two children in to them. As the first place they would look for her is work, she hasn’t been back. Supposedly her mother in law keeps the 3 yr old. Obviously this is one messed up young woman (18). Because the woman who was opening her home is the single mother of 3 ( her ex-husband had become addicted to crystal meth) she obviously doesn’t want any of this visited on her children.

Wow, Kim. There but for the grace of God. It might not be a bad thing if the kids are taken into foster care.

  9. Children are being treated as a curse, not a blessing.
Why don’t these child haters just get sterilized and be through with it?

I know that’s uncharacteristically harsh, but it makes more sense than aborting and promoting abortion.

Joe B. earned the virtual cappuccino today. Enjoy!

  11. Thank you Chas. Much appreciated!

  12. Who said the following?

“The Trinity was carried in a general council by one vote against a quaternity; the Virgin Mary lost an equality with the Father, Son, and Spirit only by a single suffrage.”

    And:

“An incarnate God!!! An eternal, self-existent, omnipresent omniscient Author of this stupendous Universe, suffering on a Cross!!! My Soul starts with horror, at the Idea, and it has stupified the Christian World. It has been the Source of almost all of the Corruptions of Christianity.”

    And:

“If I understand the Doctrine, it is, that if God the first second or third or all three together are united with or in a Man, the whole Animal becomes a God and his Mother is the Mother of God.

“It grieves me: it shocks me to write in this stile upon a subject the most adorable that any finite Intelligence can contemplate or embrace: but if ever Mankind are to be superior to the Brutes, sacerdotal Impostures must be exposed.”

2nd Question: Does this utter denial of Jesus Godhood or person hood in the Trinity disqualify one from being a Christian?

Mumsee (if you’re around), just wanted to let you know I’m praying for you and the new additions coming next week, as well as the rest of your family. May God give you the strength and energy you need.

    Thanks MMACMURRAY,

We got to meet the kids today, they are terrific of course and we got to play with them for a while. Their foster family is bringing them over on Sunday to see the place and meet the kids so they won’t be quite as traumatized when they are moved (transitioned). Pray that the seeds of love planted today will flourish and they will make the change as easily as possible. The kids here are excited but that will wane quickly as little ones begin to get into their stuff so pray their love will grow for the little ones and that we will be able to show the Love of Christ in such a way they will all hunger for it.

  15. Mumsee,

I will be praying for that. May all the kids in your care be able to experience God’s love in this time. And may you have supernatural patience and wisdom.
