This reminds me of a certain World Mag Blogger who threatened me with “The Great Depression” all over again unless we bailed out the greedy housing lenders and the foolish people who borrowed from them…
This could be a joke on the global warming crowd too.
“I have evidence for a slight increase in earth’s temperature.”

Indeed. It could be a joke on any conclusion you are reluctant to accept.
PILOT: Troubling evidence.
HYSTERICAL MAN: Alarm supposed to be unwarranted!
SENSIBLE WOMAN: He’s a member of group whose conclusions I dislike.
VIEWER: Haw, Haw! Sure pegged them group whose conclusion I dislikes!

I saw a report that said 50% of Americans were certain that the USA was heading for a depression and it was going to be a severe one lasting more than 2 years.
It turns out the socialist half of America actually believes this nonsense. It seems that they feel this way because of the MSM, the mouthpiece of the DNC, has been saying it for nearly 5 years. The socialists have been slopped this swill for so long they have been brainwashed into thinking this is 1930 all over again.
I must admit that since the last 5 years have been pretty good with the markets returning about 12% a year even after the latest downturn, unemployment still low and interest rates very low, I had hoped a small recession might teach them the truth about such things.
But, now I see since they think we are back in 1930 all over again, I see there is no hope of a soft landing for them and only a few dead bodies in the gutter with their wrists slashed will do
