The cartoon implies that the Super Delegates could end the primary process if they would vote early.
Nonetheless, if the Super Delegates didn’t exist, the total pledged delegates would be 2845. Half of that would be 1423. Obama already has 1489.
How is the Super Delegate System helping?

As intended by the DNC, Super delegates keep the insane, ultra insane, left wing of the socialist party from nominating an American hating bigoted racist, who also has no experience whatsoever, for president of the USA.
It is working exactly as planned so far.
What is unclear is - do the super delegates have the moxie to do as they were created to do and act appropriately by choosing Clinton over Obama or they are really woosies like the rest of their party and nominate a man who is worse than the US Traitor Komrade Koward Kerry they nominated the last time.
I’m guessing the whole party is insane just like always and they will go with the racist, if unqualified, candidate and actually put forth a worse prospect than a traitor - something that should have been impossible..
