Ron Paul No. 1

Ron Paul may not have come out on top in any of the presidential primaries, but as of this posting, his new book, The Revolution: A Manifesto, is the No. 1 bestseller at Amazon.com.

Yes! Ron Paul’s book signing at a Borders in NYC pulled more people than Tiki Barber’s had previously at that same Borders. I got my book yesterday and it is so worth the $$ — it’s a concise, to-the-point read.

And the point is (from the book cover): The Constitution is being ignored. Government is expanding; taxes are increasing; more senseless wars are being planned; inflation is ballooning; and our basic freedoms are disappearing.

There is negligible difference between the three major candidates for president. Only Ron Paul — who IS still a candidate, although you wouldn’t know it by reading World! — offers a real, measureable difference.

You can read the first six pages of the book here:

  2. Ron Paul is still a candidate like the Pittsburg Pirates are still a major league team. ;)

The current political bureaucratic mess in Washington makes it impossible for anyone like Ron Paul to make a difference.

It is a quixotic candidacy and most voters know that it would be a wasted vote to vote for Ron Paul in the big picture.

Go ahead and vote Paul during the primaries, but prepare for one of the other candidates in the general election.

No thanks! I’ll stick with voting for the best candidate for the job and leave the results up to the God I believe in. I follow the apostle Paul’s condemnation of doing evil hoping that good may come from it (referring to the “lesser of two evils” argument).

Truth is treason in the empire of lies. ~ Ron Paul

    We ordered our copy yesterday.

metanoia (2):The current political bureaucratic mess in Washington makes it impossible for anyone like Ron Paul to make a difference.

Frank: Unless he were to do things like, oh, leave reams of late-nite House speeches in the Congressional Record. Or write books.

You know, doing things to try to educate the electorate. (And I’d say that right about now, the electorate is hankerin’ fer some real answers …)

metanoia (2): Go ahead and vote Paul during the primaries, but prepare for one of the other candidates in the general election.

    Frank: I agree.

I voted for Paul in the primary. But I’ll most likely be voting for the presidential nominee of either the Constitution or the Libertarian parties. (Pastor Chuck Baldwin is the CP’s nominee, and the LP is still working on it — but former GA Rep. Bob Barr is vying for it.)

I consider my vote to be a (nearly) sacred trust, and none of the Three Statist Stooges comes even close to deserving it.
